Terms and conditions

What we guarantee, and what to do the day it arrives.

Every piece is made to order and shipped insured at full retail value. The receiving steps below are the part worth reading twice.

Who you are ordering from

CCW Design Studio is a website operated by Custom Copper Works. Custom Copper Works remains the business responsible for your quote and order. Sending a quote request does not place an order or require a payment.

Materials and workmanship

Our merchandise carries a limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. Please notify Custom Copper Works of any visible defect or variation within three days after delivery.

Warranty eligibility

The warranty is non-transferable and covers residential use only. Commercial or other non-household use requires specific authorization from Custom Copper Works. Misuse, improper handling, or repairs performed by an unauthorized party void the warranty.

Deposit and final payment

A 50% deposit is required to start an order. The final payment associated with photo approval must be received before delivery is scheduled.

Delivery coverage

Furniture shipments are insured for their full retail value. Follow the inspection and documentation steps below so that any damage can be recorded for an insurance claim.

Questions about these terms

Read before you sign

Receiving instructions for insurance purposes.

Your furniture is covered by full retail value shipping insurance. A claim depends almost entirely on what happens in the ten minutes the truck is at your door.

01

Inspect the outside of the crate and pallet carefully before signing the delivery receipt. If you see damage, photograph it and ask the driver to remain while the shipment is inspected. Do not sign before documenting the condition.

02

Photograph the packing arrangement as you open the crate. If the piece is damaged, take clear photographs of both the packaging and the contents, and show the driver any visible or concealed damage. Return the piece to its crate with the packing materials while the claim is being resolved.

03

Record the damage in detail on both copies of the delivery receipt, including that the driver inspected it. Sign the annotated receipts and obtain the driver’s signature on both your copy and the driver’s copy.

04

Keep the crate, pallet and all packing materials together as evidence. Do not discard them until the insurance adjuster advises you that they are no longer needed.

05

Notify Custom Copper Works if a claim is needed. We will help you with the claim process.

06

Even when the outside of the crate appears undamaged, unpack and inspect the contents and file any concealed-damage claim within three days of delivery.
